Un pezzo della storia della dance e della grafica applicata al ballo fa tappa a Brescia, al Circus, che da anni è il locale più esclusivo della città e non solo. Venerdì 15 aprile al Circus, con Jacopo (voce) e Space (dj) c'è Marie Claire, giovane e bella dj britannica della scuderia Hed Kandi. Le compilation Hed Kandi da sempre mettono insieme ritmo e buon gusto. Niente ritmi eccessivi, niente minimal, molto stile e molto divertimento e pure un bel po' di melodia. Ecco la ricetta dei cd e dei party Hed Kandi, che da tempo fanno ballare mezzo mondo, Ibiza compresa. Le copertine della serie Hed Kandi, note quanto la musica della serie, sono disegnate dall'imitatissimo Jason Brooks.
CHI E' MARIE CLAIRE DJ
Marie Claire è un'ex modella che (come Smokin' Jo e pochissime altre) che dopo la passerella, ha tentato con notevole fortuna la strada del mixer. Il suo stile musicale è molto vario: passa da un genere musicale all'altro con classe, istinto e un bel po' di stile. La sua prima serata come dj l'ha fatta giovanissima, a soli 16 anni. Negli anni ha condiviso la console con star come William Orbit, The Scissor Sisters, Kelly Osbourne ed Amanda Lepore. E' pure una vip dj, visto che fa ballare i party più esclusivi di Londra e non solo. Ha fatto ballare gli after party del marchio di lingerie chic Agent Provocateur, le feste delle The Pussycat Dolls, senza contare le feste di compleanno di diversi principi della reale casa britannica.
LA SERIE HED KANDI
Tra i cd più recenti della serie, segnaliamo Hed Kandi: Back to Disco" un bel triplo cd che contiene solo successi dance del passato, presenti sia in versione originale che remix. Ecco che i titoli dei tre cd: Classic Disco Originals, Disco House Classics e Disco Remixes. Ben 45 le tracce presenti. Tra i tanti gruppi presenti, anche le Sister Sledge, Chic, Chaka Khan e Patrice Rushen.

BIOGRAFIA MARIE CLAIRE DJ IN INGLESE
With a name like Marie-Claire, becoming a fashion model would seem the obvious career path, but during those years of treading the runways of London, Milan, New York and Paris her first love, music, kept drawing her back. The combination of classical musical training, striking beauty and a vivacious character make DJ Marie Claire a formidable package. After travelling the world as a child with her family, British born Marie-Claire quickly took to a career as an international fashion model. Discovered while still at school, she moved to London at 18 and started her illustrious career working with the cream of the industry; from Jeurgen Teller to Steven Meisel, shooting for Vogue and Dazed and Confused, campaigns for Agent Provocateur and Selfridges and even shooting for her namesake Marie Claire. Living between New York, Paris, London and going home to visit her family who were then living in West Africa, Marie Claire developed an eclectic and varied music taste and this combined with an instinctive skill to read what the crowd want has given her ability to turn the stiffest of crowds into a crazy throbbing dance floor and make Marie Claire a rare and notable talent. Marie Claire first learned to DJ at the young age of 16 and spent her summer holidays scouring record shops for rare vinyl while bemused shop assistants and customers looked on. But when her modeling career took flight, the music took a back seat until she moved in with one of London's most infamous DJs, drag queen Jodie Harsh. Harsh re-ignited her passion and after taking a residency along side Jodie in her legendary Circus club, Marie Claire was soon spinning with everyone from William Orbit, The Scissor Sisters, Kelly Osbourne, to club kid spokeswoman Amanda Lepore. Residencies at London's most elite clubs soon followed, with numerous parties for Agent Provocateur, Bungalow 8, Samantha Ronson, The Pussycat Dolls, and a couple of British Royal Princes to name a few. To date, Marie Claire has continued to combine her love of fashion and music and has played at some of the most legendary parties around including London Fashion Week, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Diesel, Cartier Polo and private parties for Jay-Z, Rhianna, Kanye West and Leonardo DiCaprio. Marie Claire's motto of making the crowd feel sexy, combined with her energy make her a must have name on all party fixture lists. Fusing elements from classic soul, rock, hip-hop, pop and binding it all together with house music gives her the ability to adapt to any crowd. Currently, Marie Claire's residencies are the cream of the London nightlife scene including Maddox, Whisky Mist and Jalouse. International weekly residencies for Hed Kandi take her to some of the most glamorous destinations around the world including Sharm El Shiekh (Pacha), Zurich (Jade), New Delhi (Jynxxx), Abu Dhabi (Etoiles), Vegas (Bank), LA (Teddys), Moscow (Pacha) and opening for Tiesto in Brazil, to name but a few. A recent move into production means that Marie Claire is soon putting her personal stamp on her favourite music to add a further element to her set, having already released an album under Hed Kandi for their World Series collection. With a combination of beauty, intelligence, business savvy and music ability it is no wonder Marie Claire has taken the DJ world by storm.
